Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party, returned to India on 6 June 2026 — his first time back in the country since the party exploded across social media in mid-May. He announced the return in a video on X, saying he would land in Delhi on Saturday morning and head to the Parliament Street police station to seek permission for a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar.
Turning down the US
The headline of his announcement was personal. Dipke said that although he had received multiple employment opportunities in the United States, he had chosen not to pursue them — intending instead to return to India and focus his efforts on the country and the movement.

Dipke's return was timed to the NEET-UG 2026 controversy and the broader collapse of India's examination system. His stated purpose was a peaceful protest demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The arrival landed amid live student protests, an ongoing CBI investigation, and a Parliamentary panel reviewing the NTA.
