If you have searched for "cockroach janta party website" or "cjp website" or "cockroach janata party official website" in the last week, you have probably seen a confusing tangle of results — the .buzz site, scraped news pieces, an .org placeholder that does not load, a couple of Twitter screenshots, and a Reddit thread. This guide exists to clear that up. It is the one URL the Cockroach Janta Party uses, why several spellings co-exist, and how to know a CJP message is actually from CJP.
The single live URL
The Cockroach Janta Party website is cockroachjantaparty.buzz. The full canonical form Google indexes is https://www.cockroachjantaparty.buzz/. Type either one into your address bar and you will land on the home page — a community site that aggregates every public CJP document in one place.
The .buzz top-level domain was chosen on the founding day, 16 May 2026, for two reasons. First, every reasonable .com, .in and .org variant of "cockroachjantaparty" was either taken, parked or held by squatters within 12 hours of CJI Surya Kant's remark going viral on 15 May. Second, .buzz costs less than ₹400 for the first year on most Indian registrars — fitting for a movement whose no-sponsors pledge rules out any kind of corporate domain sponsorship.
Every spelling, one site
Confused which spelling is the "real" one? They are all real. They just transliterate one Hindi word — जनता — into Roman script differently.
- Cockroach Janta Party — the founder's preferred filing. Drops the second 'a' in Janata; closer to how the word is spoken in colloquial Hindi.
- Cockroach Janata Party — the more common English transliteration, in line with the historic Janata Party of 1977. Most newspapers use this spelling.
- CJP — the standard abbreviation. Used on the logo, the merch and the membership cards.
- कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी — the canonical Hindi spelling, which our Hindi explainer uses throughout.
- cockroachjantaparty — the no-space domain form (since URLs cannot contain spaces).
Common misspellings — cockroch janta party, cocroach janta party, coackroach janta party, cockroach janta part, cockroach janata party.org — all point to the same movement and, in practice, all roll up to the same .buzz site once Google resolves them. There is no penalty for typing it wrong; just make sure the URL bar shows the .buzz domain before you trust what's on screen.
What you'll find on the website

About the .org confusion
Search Trends data from the second week of May 2026 picked up a small but persistent volume for "cockroach janata party.org". As of publication, no .org version of the site is operated by CJP's founder or by the community moderators. If a .org or .in mirror appears, the safest checks are:
- Look at the source of donations or membership fees. CJP membership is free. Any site asking for an "enrolment fee", "membership payment" or "donation gateway" is not CJP.
- Cross-reference the manifesto. The 5 points listed on the .buzz manifesto page are the only public CJP demands. A site running a different agenda under the same name is not CJP.
- Check the X / Twitter handle the site links to. The verified party handle is @cockroachjantaparty. Anything else is at best fan-run, at worst spoof.
The verified social channels
The website is the source of truth — but most discovery still happens on social. Here is the current channel map, as confirmed by CJP's founder:
- X / Twitter: @cockroachjantaparty — primary public channel. See our breakdown of the 48-hour X storm that put CJP on India Trends.
- Instagram: handle reserved, official rollout in progress (community moderators are running the holding account).
- Telegram: public channel rolling out as part of state chapter rollouts.
- Reddit: no official subreddit yet. Most organic discussion is on r/india and r/IndiaPolitics. An AMA from the founder is on the roadmap.
- WhatsApp: CJP does not run mass WhatsApp lists. State chapters operate small invite-only groups; if you receive a CJP WhatsApp join request from a number you don't recognise, verify it against the website's contact page first.
How to know a message is really from CJP
Three quick signals, in order of weight:
- Domain. If the link in the message resolves to
cockroachjantaparty.buzz, you're on safe ground. If it resolves to a lookalike (cockroachjantaparty.co,cjp-india.org, etc.), assume spoof until proven otherwise. - Money. CJP membership is free. The digital card is free. There is no joining fee, no "verification charge", no UPI request from "the party office". The only paid thing on the site is the merch shop, and even there the checkout is on the .buzz domain itself.
- Consistency with the manifesto. Every CJP statement maps to one of the five published demands. A message asking you to "boycott a brand", "campaign for a candidate" or "register for an external app" doesn't pass that test, and isn't from CJP.
A note on this site's status
You will see a small line in the footer of every page: "Unofficial fan / community site. Not affiliated with the Cockroach Janta Party or its representatives." That disclaimer is deliberate. The .buzz domain is the working public hub for the movement; the editorial work — explainers, profiles, timelines — is done by a small volunteer newsroom that does not speak on the founder's behalf. The manifesto, leaders page, founder note and merch are all reproductions of public CJP material. If the founder issues a future statement that supersedes anything on this page, that statement will be linked here within 24 hours.
That's it — one domain, several spellings, free membership, and a 5-point public manifesto behind it all. If you wandered in here looking for the URL, you have it: cockroachjantaparty.buzz. If you wandered in here looking for the next step, the next step is the join page. Free. No card fee. No party line.
