Can I still take the pledge after the CJP website was blocked?

Yes. The cockroachjantaparty.org domain went offline on or around May 23, 2026. This community page — cockroachjantaparty.buzz — is a separate fan/pledge platform and remains fully accessible in India. The pledge here is active. Membership is free.

Is the pledge legally binding?

No. CJP is a satirical movement, not (yet) registered with the Election Commission of India. The pledge is symbolic. It commits you to voting in your next election and bringing two friends.

Do I have to be unemployed to join?

No. The CJI's remark referenced youth, RTI activists, and journalists, but CJP is open to any Indian citizen aged 18+. Under-18 supporters are welcome as non-voting members.

What does this cost?

The pledge and digital card are free. No card fee, no party line. The optional CJP Member Badge is available via UPI.

Will my data be sold?

No. CJP keeps your name, city, and email only to send you the manifesto and occasional updates. You can unsubscribe anytime. See the contact page to request deletion.

No. Bengaluru Police denied permission for a human chain protest near Town Hall on May 24. Founder Abhijeet Dipke publicly stated the party did not officially call the event and alleged it was an attempt to "demonise" the movement. Sources: WION, Outlook India.
